Which nutritional source would be the highest source of fiber?

  1. Broccoli, one cup.
  2. Almond milk, one cup.
  3. Peas, one cup.
  4. One large apple.

That’s correct! #3.

Peas are an excellent source of fiber. Fiber is a prebiotic that helps feed the good bacteria in our gut. It also helps to bind up toxins that are dumped into our gut. It does this by not letting them be reactivated and reabsorbed back into our system and holds onto them until we poop them out.

Having a good intestinal microbiome and being able to clear toxins efficiently from our body are such central mechanisms in regards to autoimmune disease prevention and reversal. Also, in preventing cancer.
